Ukraine has received $1 billion under US guarantees

The official website of the Finance Ministry reports that Ukraine has received $1 billion under US guarantees. This became possible because the governments of Ukraine and the United States signed a $1 billion Loan Guarantee Agreement (LGA) on May 18, 2015:

“This became possible thanks to signing of the Safeguards Agreement between the governments of Ukraine and the United States,” the report says.

This loan guarantee will help Ukraine in providing reforms.

The Ministry report underlines that the rate of interest on Eurobonds is 1.847% per year. Payment of interest will be carried out twice a year (May 29 and Nov. 29). Expected maturity of the bonds is May 29, 2020.
