The Cabinet of Ministers expects the price of gas imported to Ukraine at $185.11 per 1,000 cubic meters in May-December 2016, First Deputy Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv said at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
”Target price of imported gas from May to December 2016 amounts to $185.11 per 1,000 cubic meters,” he said.
According to Kubiv, a single retail gas price for the population at the level of UAH 6,879 per 1,000 cubic meters set by the Cabinet of Ministers corresponds to the price of imported gas, taking into account the cost of transportation and distribution.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Fitch Ratings expected Naftogaz`s average import price would not exceed $200/mcm in 2016. However, the agency said prices were likely to increase further as oil prices were expected to eventually rise from the current low level.
