Ukraine gets second IMF tranche

Ukraine received on September 4 a second tranche from the IMF under the Stand-By Arrangement in the amount of SDR 914.7 million (about $1.39 billion), the press service of the Ukrainian Finance Ministry has reported.
“According to the Letter of Intent of the Government of Ukraine and the National Bank to the International Monetary Fund, which was approved on August 29 by the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund, Ukraine received on September 4 a second tranche from the IMF under the stand-by program in the amount of SDR 914.7 million (about $1.39 billion). Part of the tranche, worth about $1 billion, will be used to support the state budget,” reads the statement.
