Ukraine exports over 1.7 million tonnes of novel corn

Grain export is held by higher rates this year against the previous one, 1.757 million tonnes have been shipped.
President of the Ukrainian Grain Association Volodymyr Klymenko told a press conference at Ukrinform, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“As of July 29, Ukraine exported 1.757 million tonnes of grain crops. Out of these, wheat makes up 558,000 tonnes, barley – 896,000 tonnes and corn – 286,000. Therefore, export continues with higher rates against the previous year,” Klymenko stressed.
He noted that according to the forecasts of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Ukraine will be the 6th on wheat export this year, corn exports – the 4th, and barley exports – the 5th.
As the Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry informed, in Ukraine, early crops and leguminous crops as of July 30 were thrashed on the area of 7.664 million ha, 26.87 million tonnes of novel corn were gathered.
