Ukraine creates industrial development committee

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution calling for the establishment of the National Committee of industrial development of Ukraine.

The Committee will be tasked with promoting the production of goods with high added value and developing industrial sectors to stimulate economic growth in the country, it is reported.

The Committee will be chaired by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, while Anatoliy Hirshfeld, the MP, member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship, has been appointed as its executive director.

”The committee`s task nowadays is not only to become an agency but a real diagnostic tool with regard to the national industry`s problem areas, as well as the mechanism of developing reasonable solutions – I stress here – practical solutions that will enable us to create a high-quality product domestically,” Groysman said.
