Ukraine, China agree to simplify visa regime

Ukraine and China have agreed on implementing steps to soften mutual visa regime, that`s according to a statement by Ukraine`s Ministry of Foreign Affairs following negotiations between heads of Ukraine`s and China`s consular services, Ukraine Today reported.
”We reached an agreement in principle on undertaking mutual steps to simplify the travelling regime for (our) citizens, as well as worked out key joint actions on visa liberalization and effective interaction between the countries` relevant agencies to provide appropriate assistance to citizens abroad,” said the statement, according to Ukraine Today.
The event featured representatives the Foreign Ministry, Interior Ministry, State Border Service Administration, the National Police, the Security Service, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the State Migration Service.
Ukraine`s FM Pavlo Klimkin and Romania`s FM Lazar Comanescu earlier signed an agreement on mutual abolition of fees for issuing long-term visas. Since now, Ukrainians and Romanians will be able to get a free permit to enter and stay in the countries for more than 90 days.
