Ukraine approves agreement on reverse gas supplies from Germany

The Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Ministry has approved an agreement on natural gas purchases between Germany’s E.ON and Ukraine’s Naftogaz.
This is stated in an order signed by Energy Minister Yuriy Prodan.
“To agree on a framework contract for the sale and purchase of natural gas between E.ON Global Commodities SE and National Joint Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine,” reads the document posted on the ministry’s website.
As reported, in July 2014, Germany started supplying gas to Ukraine’s Odesa Portside Plant. Apart from E.ON, gas is exported to Ukraine by Germany’s RWE and Norway’s Statoil.
