U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has arrived in Kyiv, according to a posting on the website of the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv.
Kerry plans to meet with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, and other Ukrainian leaders to discuss progress on reforms, the implementation of the Minsk agreements, and other issues. After the meeting with the Ukrainian president, a joint press conference will be held.
According to the U.S. Department of State, Kerry will also meet with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin.
On July 8, Secretary Kerry will accompany U.S. President Barack Obama to the Summit Meeting of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in Warsaw, Poland, according to the report.
