Law enforcement officers took reports of death of two and wounds of four civilians and also of new destructions at villages and cities in the Ukrainian controlled Donetsk region. Criminal proceedings were opened for all these cases.
The press service of Chief Department of Ukraine’s Internal Ministry reported the news.
“A 68-year-old woman who was wounded on January 19 in her yard during the shelling of her village by gunmen, died of shrapnel wound in her head in the hospital of Selydove,” the report says.
Another civilian died of shrapnel wound in his chest in hospital in Kurakhove. Criminal proceedings were opened for both cases under the charge of premeditated murder of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Also, police received information that four civilians sustained injuries of varying degree, including severe. Among the victims were a 49-year-old woman from Svitlodarsk and three residents from Yasynovata district.
