Truce in Donbas to last 24 hours – NSDC

The agreements reached envisage that the truce declared this morning will last 24 hours, and then conclusions on further actions will be made.
The spokesman for the information and analytical center at the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), Andriy Lysenko, said this at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“The issue concerns day and night, i.e. 24 hours. Conclusions will be made after these 24 hours,” he said.
According to Lysenko, the Ukrainian side hopes for the objective and fruitful work of OSCE representatives who observe the ceasefire.
“And we hope that this day will be decisive and initial, including for the implementation of the Minsk agreements,” he said.
He also stated that Ukraine had initiated a “day of silence” and complied with these agreements, which were presented to the leaders of all armed groups, including the Cossacks from the so-called “Don Army.”
“From 10.00 Ukrainian military participating in the anti-terrorist operation ceased fire, from small arms to artillery. They are fulfilling the requirements regarding the day of silence, however, two artillery shelling incidents by terrorists have already been recorded,” Lysenko said.
