”Transparent public centers” to be opened in five more Ukrainian cities

”Transparent administrative centers,” similar to the one established in the city of Vinnytsia, will appear in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odesa, and Lviv by the end of the year, the social policy ministry`s press service reported, citing Minister Andriy Reva.
”The plan for establishing a network of `transparent centers` has been included in the government`s agenda by Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman. It seeks to reform the inefficient state apparatus and improve significantly the level of services provided to the population,” the statement reads.
The press service noted that mayors and deputy mayors of Ukraine`s five largest cities had visited Vinnytsia on May 26, 2016, to familiarize themselves with the system of administrative services provision that had been put in place there.
”After the pilot cities, we will focus on cities of regional importance. We expect the process of establishing efficient administrative centers all over Ukraine will be completed in the next five to seven years,” the press service quoted Reva as saying.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine`s social minister stated that Ukraine and the World Bank were planning to implement pilot projects to establish centers for the provision of public services related to social protection. It is expected that these modern centers will ensure that applications for social assistance will be accepted and processed within the terms established by the legislation. In particular, applications for obtaining housing subsidies must be processed within a 10-day period.
