There is no rear in this war – Poroshenko

The war in Ukraine is being waged not only on the frontline, and evidence of this is the incident with the killing of three police officers in Kyiv on December 18.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said this at a ceremony to mark Police Day, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“There is no rear in this war. The war is not being waged only on the frontline. The very convincing evidence of this was the killing of three police officers yesterday. This is the price that Ukraine pays every day,” Poroshenko said.
The president said that the Ukrainian police performed their duties, assigned by the Constitution of Ukraine, with dignity and heroism. Now the police, together with the Armed Forces and the National Guard, are defending the country from the aggressor, because most law enforcement officers are involved in the military actions in the anti-terrorist operation area, he said.
