Terrorists are forcing residents of militant-controlled territories in eastern Ukraine to join illegal armed groups.
Deputy head of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) information and analytical center Volodymyr Polevy said this at a briefing on Saturday.
“Militants are carrying out the urgent forced mobilization of residents of Khartsyzsk, Snizhne, Shakhtarsk, Zuhres, Mospyne, Ilovaisk and Amvrosiyivka to bandit groups,” he said.
Polevy said that the Ukrainian government had adopted a directive under which payments from the state budget, the Pension Fund’s budget and the budgets of other mandatory social insurance funds in populated areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions that are temporarily not under the control of the authorities will be made only after the Ukrainian government regains control of the said territories.
