Terrorists ask Russia for phosphorus munitions

Russian mercenaries of the so-called “DPR” (“Donetsk People’s Republic”) and “LPR” (“Luhansk People’s Republic”) want to get phosphorous munitions from Russia, then to blame the Ukrainian army for their use, which does not even have such munitions.
Speaker of the Information and Analytical Center of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Andriy Lysenko told a briefing in Kyiv, Thursday, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Ukraine has received an irrefutable proof of “talks about getting phosphorus munitions from Russia,” conducted by terrorists of the so-called “DPR” and “LPR,” Lysenko said.
He stressed that there are all grounds to state that in case of getting these munitions, Russian mercenaries will necessarily blame the Ukrainian military for using them.
However, Lysenko added, Russia spreads false statements about the use of phosphorus munitions by Ukrainian military.
“We note that this type of the ammunition is not in service with the Armed Forces and other military units of Ukraine, because it is banned in 1984 by the international convention,” he said.
