TASS: Latvia claims to observe Russian warplanes near its borders

Four Russian warplanes have been seen near Latvia`s borders, Latvia`s national armed forces said in a press statement on Sunday, according to Russian news agency TASS.
”Two Su-27 and two An-26 planes were identified flying over the Baltic Sea`s neutral waters near Latvia`s territorial waters on May 29,” the statement said, TASS wrote.
According to the Latvian defense ministry, Russian warplanes and warships reportedly approached Latvia`s borders more than 270 times in 2015 and more than 250 times in 2014.
In the meantime, Russian Ambassador to Latvia Alexander Veshnyakov has repeatedly said that all flights of Russian warplanes and movements of Russian warships are made in strict compliance with the international law.
