Surplus of Ukraine`s foreign trade in services up 7% in 1Q

The surplus of Ukraine`s foreign trade in services in January-March amounted to $1.112 billion, which is 7% more than the surplus in the same period of the previous year at the level of $1,04 billion, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
The export of goods from Ukraine decreased by 1,5% in January-March 2016 year-over-year to $2.211 billion, imports – by 8.8%, to $1.099 billion.
The ratio of exports coverage over imports was at 2.01 (in January-March 2015, it was 1.86). Foreign trade operations in this period were carried out with partners from 198 countries.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the surplus of foreign trade in services in 2015 amounted to $4.407 billion, which was $741 million, or 16.8%, lower than at the end of 2015, less than a $ 5.148 billion surplus in 2014.
