Steinmeier: Some progress achieved after difficult conversation

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has said after a meeting of the foreign ministers of Germany, Russia, Ukraine and France, who discussed the ways of resolving the situation in eastern Ukraine for nearly five hours, that the sides have achieved some progress after a difficult conversation.
“I think and hope that we have achieved progress on some points,” Deutsche Welle quoted Steinmeier as saying.
The results of the meeting will be reported to the chiefs of state. The format of subsequent negotiations, according to Steinmeier, will be determined in the next few days.
