State-owned Centrenergo posts UAH 686 mln profit over 6 mths

Net income from energy sales amounted to UAH 5.126 billion over six months of this year, which is almost double the figure in the same period last year.
The state-owned power generating company Centrenergo in January-June 2016 received UAH 686.4 million net profit, while in the same period last year, the company reported a loss of UAH 268.3 million, according to the information disclosure system of the National Commission on Securities and Stock Market.
Net income from sales amounted to UAH 5.126 billion over six months of this year, which is almost double the figure in the same period last year.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Centrenergo in the first quarter of 2016 has posted UAH 269.9 million of net profit, while in the same period last year, the company lost UAH 229.9 million.
UNIAN memo. Centrenergo is a power generating company with an installed capacity of 7.6 GW. Power generation companies are the following thermal power stations: Tripilska (Kiev region), Zmiyivska (Kharkiv region) and Vuhlehirska (Donetsk region). The power generation stations include 23 power units, of which 18 run on  pulverized coal, and five – on gas-oil fuel. The state share in the company`s ownership is 78.3%.
