Some NATO countries to supply Ukraine with lethal weapons – Poroshenko

Some NATO countries have agreed to supply Ukraine with lethal weapons, including precision guidance weapons.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said this as part of the NATO summit after bilateral meetings with the leaders of the alliance’s member states in Wales on Thursday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“As a result of our bilateral consultations almost every country stated its assistance to Ukraine. First and foremost, this concerns military and technical cooperation, both non-lethal and lethal weapons, including precision guidance weapons,” he said.
He also said that agreement had been reached on the treatment in the alliance’s member states of wounded Ukrainian troops and on the supplies of the necessary medical equipment and medicines.
Poroshenko also thanked NATO member states who expressed strong support, including financial support, which was declared at the summit in the format of commitment to replenish four trust funds.
