Self-proclaimed Donetsk republic ready for dialogue with Savchenko

The leaders of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People`s Republic (DPR) say they are ready to start dialogue with Kyiv through Ukrainian pilot and Member of Parliament in Ukraine Nadia Savchenko if she is mandated, according to Russian news agency RIA Novosti.
”It`s very strange, but Savchenko has so far been the only person to come up with the idea of starting a dialogue with Donbas representatives, while this is exactly what the Minsk agreements stipulate. Therefore, if Savchenko is correspondingly mandated, we`ll be ready for talks with her,” DPR envoy to the Minsk talks Denis Pushilin said.
Pushilin says he believes a political decision is needed. ”In fact, we see now that sometimes there is simply a lack of a political decision. If these political decisions are found even with Savchenko, if she has the mandate, and if we`re able to adopt some decisions in the political subgroup [of the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbas] at the level of lawyers – it would be great, there would be some progress,” he said.
Earlier Savchenko suggested direct talks could be held with the self-proclaimed republics in Donbas – the Donetsk People`s Republic and the Luhansk People`s republic. She says that she is ready to conduct dialogue with them in person.
