The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has prevented the commission of a terrorist attack against a Dutch government delegation in Kharkiv.
SBU Chief Valentyn Nalyvaichenko said this at a briefing on Tuesday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“During the interrogation of a female member of a terrorist group [who was detained on suspicion of being involved in a terrorist attack at a rock pub in Kharkiv], we received clear evidence that on the instructions of the Russian special services, which trained members of this group near Tambov, an order was given and explosives were provided to commit a terrorist attack against a Dutch delegation that planned to visit Malyshev Plant in Kharkiv,” Nalyvaichenko said.
Journalists were shown the video of the questioning of the suspect on which she said she had got an order to lay explosives on the route taken by the foreign delegation.
