SBU prevents series of terrorist attacks in Lviv

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has unveiled a dangerous terrorist group that was preparing acts of terrorism in Lviv.
The SBU press center reported.
“Members of a criminal group were detained, who called themselves the “Kuznetsov group” and were planning to commit a series of terrorist attacks in Ukraine,” the special service informs.
According to the SBU, the group consisted of five citizens of Ukraine. They were recruited by the Russian intelligence service and underwent a sabotage training in a camp for mercenaries on the territory of the Russian Federation.
“As directed by foreign special services, the group of terrorists was preparing explosions in Lviv region, particularly on critical infrastructure objects and the military-industrial complex. The attackers had the mission to destabilize the situation, to intimidate the population and to provoke panic in the region. Their work was coordinated by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation,” the Security Service told.
During the search of apartments of the group members, four grenades RG-42 and instructions for making explosive devices were seized.
The SBU department in Lviv region started criminal proceedings.
