SBU detains two women, who informed militants about AFU positions, in Luhansk region

The SBU Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police have detained two local women who informed militants about the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the SBU`s press center has reported.

”Two local women were regularly in contact with a representative of the terrorists and informed him about the number, locations and armaments of the Ukrainian units in the area of the Anti-Terrorist Operation,” the report stated.

According to SBU`s data, the detained women also collected information on the life-support systems and protection modes of strategically important objects, public authorities, law enforcement agencies and military units, as well as personal data of officials and information on travel routes of the AFU units.

Deliberations on the issue of initiating criminal proceedings against the detainees under Article 256 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine are currently on.

Meanwhile, urgent investigative actions are underway.
