SBU assigns terrorist threat level to Ukraine`s regions: Highest in Donbas, Crimea

The SBU Security Service of Ukraine has assessed the terrorist threat level for all regions of Ukraine, according to the SBU`s press center.

The relevant decision was taken following the worsening situation on the administrative border with Crimea and in the area of the Anti-Terrorist Operation, in accordance with the requirements of paragraph 8 of Resolution No. 92 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on February 18, 2016.

The highest level – ”red” – was assigned to Donetsk and Luhansk regions and Crimea.

”Yellow” was assigned to Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Sumy, as well as Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions.

The ”blue” level (potential threat) was assigned to Dnipropetrovsk, Zakarpattia, Rivne and Khmelnytsky, as well as Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv region and the city of Kyiv;

The lowest level – ”gray” (possible threat) – was given to Vinnytsia, Volyn, Zhytomyr and Ivano-Frankivsk, as well as Kirovohrad, Lviv, Poltava and Ternopil regions.

”This ruling is open, citizens can get acquainted with the measures being taken by the subjects of the fight against terrorism in accordance with certain levels of terrorist threat,” the SBU stated.
