Savchenko`s sister warns against too much early optimism in Nadia`s case

Vira Savchenko, the sister of the Ukrainian female pilots illegally sentenced in Russia, says she does not get the ”victorious” statements of Ukrainian politicians and President Petro Poroshenko on the case of the Ukrainian captive.
According to Vira Savchenko, who spoke on a live TV show ”Right to Power” on 1+1, any mention of Savchenko used to help her, but now, on the contrary, it is harmful to the case and only causes laughter from the Russian side.
”Russia – is Ukraine`s sneakiest ever neighbor. If we want something, it does the opposite. Why voice these preliminary statements? Our president is already being mocked as he boasts his ”small victory” in a Savchenko case. What was it, really? A phone call. And Nadia stopped her hunger strike. Yes, it really is a lot. He is sending a plane there. And Peskov [Putin`s spokesman] laughs about it…” said Vira Savchenko.
As UaPosition reported earlier, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called the trial of the Ukrainian female pilot Nadia Savchenko an ”internal” affair. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry Commissioner for human rights, democracy and the rule of law Konstantin Dolgov, Ukraine put forward ”absurd claims” in the context of the Savchenko trial, which directly violate the principle of the rule of law.
