Having fallen since the beginning of the year by 74%, the Russian ruble against the dollar is worth 58.35 RUB/USD today, December 16, Russian Izvestia reports.
“According to the Central Bank’s rate, as of Tuesday, December 16, the dollar is 58.35 RUB/USD, the euro – 72.66 RUB/EUR,” the publication writes.
The Russian source cites statistics, according to which as of January 1, 2014, the dollar was 32.66 RUB/USD (growth since the beginning of the year was about 50%), euro – 45.06 RUB/EUR (growth about 40%).
On street signs of some exchangers there is the pound as the third foreign currency, which of December 15 was worth about 95 RUB/GBP.
