Russian proxies use 122mm artillery to attack Ukraine troops in Avdiyivka

The combined Russian-separatist forces attacked the Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 39 times in the past 24 hours, shelling the town of Avdiyivka with the use of banned artillery systems, according to the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) Headquarters.
”The town of Avdiyivka remains a hot spot. The enemy fired 122mm artillery systems, 120mm and 82mm mortars, rocket-propelled grenades, heavy machine-guns and small arms on our fortified positions there,” the press center said.
Most of the attacks – 22 incidents – were recorded in the Mariupol sector. In particular, the enemy fired banned 120mm mortars and 82mm mortars, rocket-propelled grenades and small arms on the town of Krasnohorivka. In addition, the militants fired grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine-guns and small arms on the Ukrainian fortified positions in the town of Maryinka, and the villages of Shyrokyne and Novotroyitske.
The Russian-backed mercenaries continue armed provocations in the Donetsk sector where 17 cases of violation of the ceasefire were recorded in the past day.
The militants fired mortars on the Ukrainian positions in the villages of Nevelske, Zaitseve and near Butivka coal mine. They also used anti-aircraft guns near the village of Opytne, heavy machine-guns in the village of Pisky, Novhorodske and Novoselivka Druha, as well as grenade launchers near the village of Luhanske.
In Luhansk region, the last day was rather quiet.
