Combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 85 times in the past 24 hours – 38 times in the Donetsk sector, 22 times in the Mariupol sector and 25 times in the Luhansk sector – according to the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation headquarters.
In the Donetsk sector, the enemy fired 122mm artillery systems at the villages of Troyitske and Luhanske until dawn. Along the demarcation line – Nevelske, Avdiyivka industrial area and Svitlodarsk bridgehead – the militants fired 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms. They fired tank shells at the town of Avdiyivka and used infantry fighting vehicles against the village of Luhanske.

Close to midnight, the occupiers fired 152mm artillery systems and launched about six dozen artillery shells at the village of Semyhirria.
In the Mariupol sector, Russia`s hybrid military force fired 122mm self-propelled units, launching more than 100 shells at the village of Shyrokyne. They also fired 120mm mortars on Ukrainian positions in the villages of Novohryhorivka, Shyrokyne and Starohnativka, as well as 82mm mortars at the towns of Maryinka and Krasnohorivka. The militants also used rocket-propelled grenades and heavy machine guns while attacking the villages of Vodiane, Shyrokyne and Pavlopil. They fired from infantry fighting vehicles near Maryinka. Enemy snipers were active near Maryinka and the village of Novotroyitske.
In Luhansk region, the Russian-backed mercenaries fired 152mm artillery systems on Ukrainian positions in the villages of Kalynove-Popasne, Novozvanivka, Zholobok and Novotoshkivske. They also used 122mm artillery systems against the village of Krymske. The militants fired mortars, rocket-propelled grenades and machine guns at the villages of Krymske, Stanytsia Luhanska and the town of Popasna. They also fired rocket-propelled grenades and heavy machine guns at the village of Novo-Oleksandrivka and the town of Zolote. The occupiers used tank shells near Krymske, while in Stanytsia Luhanska, they fired from infantry fighting vehicles. A sniper was also carrying out attacks near Novo-Oleksandrivka.
