Russian proxies attack Ukraine 36 times in last day

The combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 36 times in the past 24 hours, according to the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) Headquarters.
In the Donetsk sector, the Russian-backed gangs attacked Ukrainian positions 17 times. The enemy fired small arms, heavy machine guns, grenade launchers of various systems, 82mm mortars, as well as banned 120mm mortars near the town of Avdiyivka and Butivka coal mine. At about 21:00 Kyiv time, the mercenaries fired 122mm self-propelled guns and launched eight shells, the ATO HQ said in an update as of 06:00 Kyiv time on June 8.
The enemy opened fire from 82mm and 120mm mortars twice on the Ukrainian positions near the villages of Maiorsk and Zaitseve, as well as heavy machine guns and grenade launchers of various systems near the village of Luhanske.
In the Mariupol sector, the militants attacked Ukrainian positions 18 times. They fired heavy machine guns and 82mm mortars thrice on the Ukrainian fortified positions near the villages of Novotroyitske and Vodiane. Near the village of Lebedynske, and later near Novotroyitske, the enemy used heavy 120mm mortars.
The Russian-backed militants fired small arms and rocket-propelled grenades on the Ukrainian fortified positions near the villages of Pavlopil, Shyrokyne and Hnutove, as well as from infantry fighting vehicles near the town of Maryinka.
It was rather quiet in Luhansk region, some unsighted attacks were recorded near the village of Stepne.
