Russian provocations in Crimea resemble beginning of war with Georgia: Kuleba

Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the Council of Europe Dmytro Kuleba has compared provocations in occupied Crimea with Russian actions at the beginning of the war with Georgia.

”FSB`s key message is not the presence of sabotage and reconnaissance groups, but the shelling taking place from the territory of Ukraine and the death of a Russian soldier. Don`t forget that tanks officially entered Georgia because Russian peacekeepers had been killed in South Ossetia,” he wrote on Facebook.

Kuleba noted that ”Putin is acting on a whim. And this is his weakness.”

”Ukraine is too liberal and chaotic to survive this fight, but at the same time, the country is very tenacious and its forces are trained to accept death. Everything will depend on the people,” he said.

”A force has once again become the main value in Europe. We can only strengthen the army and calm nerves,” Kuleba added.
