There is still no possibility in sight for another ministerial meeting of the Normandy Four (Russia, Germany, France, Ukraine) since a road map on Donbas that the ministers will have to approve hasn`t been agreed on yet, Russian top diplomat Sergey Lavrov said on Monday, according to Russian news agency TASS.
”The Normandy Four leaders gave instructions to their foreign policy aides to draw up a road map, the aides have been maintaining constant contacts with each other,” the Russian top diplomat said, TASS wrote.
”A Normandy Four ministerial meeting hinges on an approvable road map. Such consensus is not in sight yet,” Lavrov added.
As reported earlier, the representative of Ukraine in the political subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group, OPORA coordinator for election and parliamentary programs, Olha Aivazovska, said that representatives of the Russian Federation in the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbas settlement were trying to persuade the political subgroup to approve the so-called ”Steinmeier formula” that is unacceptable for Ukraine.
”Regarding the discussion in Minsk, it is the second time when it goes an interesting way. Russia is trying to persuade our subgroup to approve the so-called ”Steinmeier formula” and the Trilateral Contact Group should initial it. Of course, the Ukrainian side could not agree to this, as the heads of the Normandy Four states have instructed their foreign ministers to develop a road map before the end of November, including security positions and the political bloc,” Aivazovska wrote on Facebook.
