Russian doctors say Savchenko`s health satisfactory

Doctors consider that the health of Ukrainian pilot Nadia Savchenko, who has been sentenced to 22 years in prison, is satisfactory and there is no need to send her to hospital, Russia`s federal prison authority said on Tuesday, according to Russian news agency TASS.
On Monday, a concilium of doctors was held on Savchenko`s health that involved experts in gastroenterology, cardiology, surgery, ultrasonic diagnosis and therapy, TASS wrote.
”Following the examination and clinical tests, the concilium of doctors has assessed Savchenko`s health as satisfactory, she needs no urgent hospitalization,” the Federal Penitentiary Service said in a statement.
Doctors continue keeping a watchful eye on Savchenko, who is receiving the necessary supporting therapy.
As UaPosition reported earlier, on March 22, Donetsk city court of the Rostov region (Russia) sentenced Savchenko to 22 years in prison for the alleged murder of two Russian journalists.
After the verdict, Nadia Savchenko said she would not appeal, and from April 6, she resumed a hunger strike, demanding her return to Ukraine.
