Russian ‘aid convoy’ near border with Ukraine

The so-called Russian “humanitarian aid convoy” has arrived in Rostov region, Deputy Head of the National Center for Crisis Situations Management of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry Oleg Voronov has said.
“A column of a hundred vehicles has arrived in Rostov region without any incident,” he said.
According to Russian state agency ITAR-TASS, the trucks are carrying about 1,000 tonnes of cargo allegedly for the residents of Luhansk and Donetsk regions, in particular, building materials, food, medicines and logistics to prepare for winter. Earlier, Russian Emergency Situations Ministry aircraft also delivered to Rostov a humanitarian cargo of about 100 tonnes, which will then be reloaded onto the trucks.
This is the fourth Russian “humanitarian aid convoy.”
