Around 22:30 of the 6th of September the ceasefire was broken by the regular Russian army units that had invaded Ukraine from the 20th of August 2014. Russian troops (specifically parts of the Southern Military District) started to attack on Mariupol where at the time of signing the ceasefire the Ukrainian army was located. The city was fired by multiple rocket launcher “Grad” and other heavy artillery.

This was the same group of Russian troops who fired Mariupol on the 4th of September 2014.
