Russia to resume gas supply to Ukraine on December 11

Ukraine will start taking on December 11 the Russian gas for which it paid on December 6, the press service of PJSC Ukrtransgaz has told an Ukrinform reporter.
“Ukrtransgaz got the instruction from the [Naftogaz of Ukraine] management to prepare the transport system for the receipt of Russian gas from December 11. The instruction came this morning,” a spokesperson said.
As reported, on Saturday, December 6, Gazprom confirmed the receipt of the payment of $378 million from Naftogaz Ukraine for one billion cubic meters of natural gas. The company added that, in accordance with the agreements reached in Brussels, the supply would be restored within 48 hours.
On Sunday, Ukrainian Energy Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn stated that Ukraine’s taking of Russian gas would begin on Monday.
