Russia moves military aircraft close to border with Ukraine

An aviation unit that is able to control the entire airspace of Luhansk region has been redeployed from Perm to Rostov region.
Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) information and analytical center spokesman Andriy Lysenko said this at a briefing on Wednesday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“An aviation unit that was stationed in Perm has been redeployed to the airfield at Millerovo, Rostov region. Radars and MiG-31s that can control airspace over the whole of Luhansk region have been moved to the border with Ukraine,” he said.
Lysenko said that NATO had also confirmed the concentration of Russian troops. “We’re talking about troops, equipment, artillery, and advanced air defense systems. This is a serious military buildup,” he quoted NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
According to Lysenko, the NATO secretary general called on Russia to stop the escalation of the conflict, withdraw military forces, stop supporting terrorists and respect the Minsk agreements.
