Russia continues to amass troops in the border areas near Ukraine.
The coordinator of the Information Resistance group, Dmytro Tymchuk, reported this on his Facebook page.
“Up to 22,500 Russian military were deployed in Russia and Transdniestria near the state border with Ukraine as of the morning of August 25. In general, given the occupying troops in Crimea, the number of Russian groups is up to 47,000 people,” reads the report.
Tymchuk also said that up to five Russian sabotage and intelligence groups had been transferred to Ukraine from Russia over the past three days. In addition to small arms, subversive groups are armed with man-portable air defense systems.
