Energy Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak and EU Energy Commissioner Guenther Oettinger will discuss the security of gas transit to Europe via Ukraine.
The press service of the Russian Energy Ministry informed.
“On August 29, in Moscow, Energy Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak will hold a meeting with Energy Commissioner of the European Commission Guenther Oettinger,” a statement reads.
As noted, main themes for discussion will be the security of gas transit to Europe via the territory of Ukraine, legal and technical aspects for realization of the South Stream project.
In addition, the parties will discuss access of OJSC Gazprom to full capacity of the OPAL gas pipeline, as well as the issues related to functioning of the Russia-EU energy dialogue.
