Russia establishes its S-400 and S-300 missile complexes in Syria

The Russian Federation has established in Syria its anti-aircraft weapon system S-400 and S-300 missile complexes.

The commander of the Russian Armed Forces in Syria, Colonel General Andrey Kartapolov states that anti-missile weapon ensures a solid defense of the ground and sea facilities, a close integration between air forces and the Bastion coastal defense missile systems deployed in Syria has been achieved, reports Russia’s Interfax.

“A unified air defense shield has been established in Syria in combination with the existing air defense facilities and modern S-300 and S-400 complexes ensuring a solid defense both in land and in the sea,” said Andrey Kartapolov.

The commander of the Russian Armed Forces in Syria states that all the defense goals have been worked out including inter-unit integration and the use of the aircraft from both the aircraft carrier and the air base, the tasks set forth before the Russian flotilla in the Mediterranean have been accomplished, the ships of the flotilla have sufficient supplies and are fully functional:

“The strikes were delivered against infrastructure facilities, the amassments of militants and military hardware, fire emplacements and strongholds of terrorists,” the Russian Colonel General said.

“The Black Sea Fleet’s frigate Admiral Grigorovich staying in the Mediterranean Sea delivered a missile strike on November 15, 2016 with Kalibr cruise missiles against facilities of the ISIL on the territory of Syria. All the targets were destroyed,” stated the commander of the Russian Armed Forces in Syria.
