Rosneft, Transneft and Gazpromneft fall under sanctions

In Brussels, a new package of EU sanctions against Russia was adopted, which will take effect from tomorrow – September 12.
It is reported by the Echo of Moscow.
“The EU Council postponed the imposition of sanctions for a few days. Diplomats said they are counting on some real steps from Moscow to stabilize the situation in Ukraine. However, this did not happen, and the EU Permanent Representatives Committee issued a decision: to publish a new package of sanctions on September 12. Earlier, it was reported that the restrictions will affect both companies and individuals. The sanctions’ list includes, according to the Wall Street Journal, Rosneft, Gazpromneft and Transneft,” a statement reads.
The European capital market is actually closed for the companies. Also, the defense enterprises will be on the list: Uralvagozavod, Oboronprom and United Aircraft Corporation. They will be without financing through stocks and bonds.
In addition, nine companies are banned from selling dual-use technologies. Finally, 24 officials, citizens of Russia and Ukraine, will get under the sanctions.
