Ukrainian citizens, who stay in the territory of Donbas temporarily occupied by Russian terrorists, are called up for military service within the framework of mobilization only on a voluntary basis.
This has been stated by acting spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vladyslav Selezniov at a press briefing on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Residents of the ATO area, which is under the control of gunmen, are called up on a voluntary basis only,” the representative of the General Staff said.
According to him, for that a Ukrainian citizen should come to the nearest military registration and enlistment office in the Ukrainian government-controlled territory.
