Rada could begin its work on December 2 – Turchynov

Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov has said that the Verkhovna Rada of the eighth convocation could begin its work on December 2.
He said this, while opening a meeting of the working group to prepare for the plenary sessions of the Verkhovna Rada of the eighth convocation, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“By law, after the official announcement by the Central Election Commission of the election winners, MPs are given 20 days to retire from [their previous] work and get rid of representative seats… When the working group does not make another decision, we can predict that the parliament of the eighth convocation will open its work on December 2,” Turchynov said.
However, he said that the working group could within its competence change the time of the beginning of the parliament’s work.
