Prodan, Oettinger discuss interim agreement on gas

Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Prodan and European Commissioner on Energy Guenther Oettinger held bilateral consultations in Kyiv.
The press service of the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry informs about this.
“Guenther Oettinger stressed readiness of the European Commission to further promote solution of the gas issue. The parties discussed main provisions of the interim agreement on supply of natural gas from the territory of the Russian Federation, which will be discussed at the next trilateral meeting October 21 in Brussels,” a statement reads.
Prodan also informed Oettinger on the course and results of negotiations in Milan.
The parties confirmed their willingness to actively cooperate to ensure the energy security of Ukraine and the EU.
Attending the consultations were Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Jan Tombinski and Naftogaz Head Andriy Kobolev.
