President Petro Poroshenko congratulates Ukrainians on the beginning of the new school year and the Day of Knowledge.

“This is a great and exciting holiday for millions of Ukrainians, because it symbolizes new beginnings and aspirations for qualitative changes. Especially solemn this date is for first-graders, to whom the door is opened to the wonderful world of knowledge. It will be significant for those young people, who begin their training at vocational establishments and studies at higher educational institutions. Let these years be filled with unforgettable experiences and your ability and perseverance will ensure success and significant achievements,” he said.
He also congratulated teachers and parents, whose knowledge, experience and support always inspire confidence, help correctly identify the priorities in life.
“I believe in the inexhaustible intellectual potential of young Ukrainians, their unbridled creative energy and ability to change the country. I am convinced that the younger generation will be the basis of the future elite, who will build a truly unified, strong, highly developed European country,” he said.
