President passes ten Cougar armored cars to OSCE

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has attended the ceremony to hand over ten KrAZ Cougar armored cars to representatives of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine.
He handed over the car keys to Chief of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Ertugrul Apakan, the presidential press service reported.
“None of these vehicles was handed over to the OSCE mission at the expense of the Armed Forces. These cars were ordered beforehand by border troops, the National Guard and were to be used outside the anti-terrorist operation zone. But now there is no more important task than ensuring peace, and our cooperation with the OSCE is extremely important,” Poroshenko said.
He said that the OSCE plays an important role in ensuring peace in Ukraine. He said that information from this organization had been used when considering the situation in Ukraine at a special meeting of the UN Security Council.
“I hope that the OSCE mission will be able to resume the fulfillment of the Minsk agreements that are very important today,” he said, expressing confidence that the number of OSCE inspectors will continue to grow.
