Portugal to give EUR 200,000 in aid to Ukraine`s Defense Ministry

The Government of Portugal has approved the provision of EUR 200,000 in assistance to Ukraine, which covers military-technical assistance, medical treatment of soldiers and assistance in troops training, according to Ukraine`s Defense Ministry.
Minister of National Defense of Portugal Mr. Jose Alberto Azeredo Lopes announced the assistance during a meeting with Ukrainian Defense Minister, General Stepan Poltorak in Brussels, the Ukrainian ministry`s press service said.
Poltorak thanked for the assistance and support, and expressed hope that in future, the Ukraine-Portugal cooperation would be developed.
”We should particularly develop defense industry cooperation,” Poltorak said.
The Portuguese defense ministry`s chief underlined Portugal would support the Ukrainian issue at the NATO Warsaw Summit soon.
