The Presidential Administration has said that in spite of the EU and the OSCE`s concerns over the situation in the occupied Crimea, real steps ”are sometimes not seen”, the head of the main department of information policy of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine Andriy Zhyhulin said at the international conference on safety of journalists in Ukraine in Kyiv, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
”Hybrid warfare is waged against Ukraine, and the recent history of European civilization has seen no such examples,” he said.
The Presidential Administration expects from the OSCE real steps in the protection of freedom of expression from targeted blasts by the occupation authorities in Crimea, as well as in the issue of arrests of journalists in this Russian-occupied region.
”In the statements of European politicians, including OSCE officials, on freedom of speech, we hear deep concern and worries. But sometimes we do not feel or see any real steps or real help; however, we are waiting for these steps. This applies primarily to protection against deliberate destruction by the occupation authorities of freedom of speech in Crimea, the arrests of journalists in this region,” Zhyhulin added.
