Poroshenko: We need 300 votes for judicial reform

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said that the Verkhovna Rada should adopt amendments to the Constitution in terms of justice in the next days or weeks, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
”I emphasize that in the coming days or weeks — and I am very grateful for the support of Andriy Parubiy — we need 300 votes for judicial reform, and for adopting a new version of the law on the judicial system, which will contribute to a significant upgrade of the judiciary,” Poroshenko said on Wednesday during the presentation of Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko to the Prosecutor General`s Office staff.
”Every [criminal] case should not only be brought to court, but it should also lead to the verdict,” he said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on February 2, the Verkhovna Rada preliminarily approved a bill ”On Amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine (regarding justice).”
