Poroshenko wants more sanctions against Russia

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said about the need to strengthen international sanctions against the Russian Federation.
He said this before the start of a meeting with President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy on Saturday, Brussels, a special correspondent of Ukrinform reports.
“Sanctions are actions aimed at de-escalation of the conflict,” the Head of state said.
Answering a specifying question of journalists whether the Ukrainian side wants more sanctions against Moscow, the Ukrainian leader said: “Yes.”
