Poroshenko vows to sign law on lustration

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has promised soon to sign the law on lustration.
He said this at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday, Ukrinform’s correspondent reported.
“I will most likely sign the law on lustration soon. I have confidence that new people have to build a new country through a new Verkhovna Rada with a new president,” he said.
Poroshenko expressed confidence that the law on lustration would complete the cleansing and reboot of power, because it was a strong requirement from society. “For the first time the country requires absolutely not cheap populism, as it was done before the elections for all 23 years of Ukraine’s independence,” he said.
